Graduate Student, Statistics
About
I am a second year PhD student at Warwick University. My supervisors are: Dr Diane Maclagan (maths) and Prof. Jim Smith (stats). I am working on algebraic geometry of models for phylogenetic data. My main research interests are: algebraic geometry, statistical graphical models and time series analysis. I am particularly interested in mathematical aspects of statistical models. I wrote my Master's thesis in Warsaw under the supervision of Prof. Jarosław Wiśniewski. In the thesis I analysed the connection between toric geometry, discrete geometry and statistical graphical models for binary data.
