About
I am an economist by training that branched out into International Political Economy and International Relations. I am currently studying towards a doctorate in IPE focusing on exchange rate politics and monetary integration in Greece. My work, as it has evolved, tries to decipher the political economy of exchange rate policy and the social purpose of monetary integration within the European but also global context. The notions of exchange rate regime durability and peg credibility are also examined and an attempt is made to determine in concrete historical moments their social origins and character. Hopefully the findings of the undertaken work will be of relevance to the choices facing social actors in developing and transition economies. For more information on my research interests please see the links on the left. Feel free to contact me should you have any queries or think that there is common ground with the work already pursued.
