About

Paul's research interests include legal history and law & literature. He is the author of "Images and Cultures of Law in Early Modern England: Justice and Political Power, 1558-1660" (Cambridge University Press, 2004). Other books include: Paul Raffield and Gary Watt (eds.), "Shakespeare and the Law" (Hart Publishing, 2008). He is currently writing his next book, "Shakespeare's Imaginary Constitution: Late Elizabethan Politics and the Theatre of Law" (Hart Publishing, forthcoming 2011) Paul is the founding co-editor of the journal, "Law and Humanities", and a member of Associazione Italiana di Diritto e Letteratura (Italian Cultural Association for the Study of Law and Literature). In the School of Law at the University of Warwick, he teaches Tort Law, Shakespeare & the Law, and Origins, Images & Cultures of English Law. In 2009, Paul became a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy and was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship.
